UNIFY orchestrates global synchronized events that invite people of every background to meditate, pray, hold local ceremony, and take action together — all in the same moment, all over the world.

The premise is simple enough to be easy to underestimate: that peace found within a person does not stay there. It ripples outward into a family, a community, and beyond. So rather than treat inner stillness and outer action as separate projects, UNIFY joins them — gathering millions of people into a single shared moment, then pointing that attention at something practical close to home. They describe the result as a living example of a fundamental truth: that we are all one, and that together we can give rise to a planetary culture built on the interdependence and well-being of all.

Three ways it works

Global synchronized meditations

Communities across the planet unite in prayer and meditation on one day, in one moment, as one humanity — local groups gathering in public places to create a unified field of peace.

Collective social action

From that inner quiet, something practical: cleaning a local water supply, planting trees, feeding neighbours, petitioning a city council. Action taken with friends rather than alone.

Local community chapters

Join or start a chapter in your own region — kept current on upcoming global meditations, and free to serve locally in whatever way the place you live actually needs.

The moments they keep

Several of the gatherings return each year: World Peace Day on 21 September, long a unifying moment for indigenous traditions, with nations joining at sacred sites around the planet; International Women's Day on 8 March, whose Global Sisterhood campaign draws women together through Sister Circles; and International Yoga Day on 21 June, the solstice the United Nations set aside in 2015 for a practice now shared by roughly two billion people. Alongside these run campaigns tied to whatever the moment asks for — an eclipse, a fire season, a river.

Reach

  • 13 years of global campaigns
  • 140+ synchronized events
  • Over 1 billion people reached
  • In more than 10,000 cities
  • Across over 150 countries
  • A registered 501(c)(3) charity

Figures as reported by the organization. UNIFY the World is a 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation based in San Francisco, California; donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Their #WagePeace campaign gathers the wider effort under one banner.

Sitting with them

Their meditations are free, open, and require nothing but your attention at the appointed hour — you can join from wherever you are. If the work here has ever made the case that aligned attention adds up to something, this is that case put into practice at planetary scale.
